Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant

Duties and responsibilities: Medical assistants are a critical part to your practice’s clinical staff, but their roles can differ on the size of your practice and the amount of work your physicians, physician assistants and nurses choose to give them. Some of the responsibilities they have include:
• Report to clinical coordinator or practice administrator
• Perform nursing procedures under supervision of physician or physician assistant
• Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms
• Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart
Salary: $43,000
Education: Some jobs may offer you on the job training, but the majority will prefer someone who has already have a medical education about this job. Other jobs may also consider you if you have your credentials, such as Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
I would not like to be a medical assistant because I would like someone to be my assistant I wouldn’t like working for someone else as my “life job.”
